This Privacy Policy explains how HelloAlpha.ai ("HelloAlpha," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use this website, the AI scam checker, contact form, feedback tools, or public sharing features.
Information you provide
- Scam-check submissions: message text, an optional sender email address, or a screenshot you choose to analyze.
- Feedback: your correction, comments, the submitted content, and the related analysis when you expressly consent to storing feedback.
- Public share links: the analysis result and up to the first 200 characters of submitted text when you expressly consent to create a public link. Screenshot sharing is currently disabled.
- Contact requests: your name, email address, subject, and message.
Please remove passwords, account numbers, government identifiers, medical information, and other sensitive details before submitting content.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security systems may process basic technical data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and error or security logs. The scam checker also uses IP-based rate limits to prevent abuse. Feedback records store only a shortened form of the submitting IP address.
Public pages do not currently load Google Analytics because no analytics measurement ID is configured. If analytics is enabled later, this policy and any legally required controls will be updated before or with that change. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
How scam-check content is processed
Scam-check submissions are sent through OpenRouter to the selected AI model provider so the service can generate an analysis. For text checks, selected phrases may also be sent to the Brave Search service to look for public scam reports. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
OpenRouter states that prompt and response logging is off by default, while request metadata is retained, and that requests are passed to the selected model provider. Provider practices can differ. Do not submit information you are unwilling to have processed by these services.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and scam checker.
- Respond to contact messages and feedback.
- Prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and service disruption.
- Publish a share page only when you expressly request one.
- Comply with law and protect users, the service, and others.
Retention
- Normal scam analyses may remain in server memory for up to 30 minutes to support optional feedback or sharing, then expire. They are not saved by HelloAlpha by default.
- Contact messages and consented feedback are retained until deleted or no longer reasonably needed for support, security, or service improvement.
- Public share results remain available until removed. Anyone with the link may view and redistribute them.
- Security and hosting logs are retained according to operational and provider practices.
Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information only as needed to providers that host or operate the service, deliver email, perform AI analysis, or perform optional web searches; when you direct us to publish a share result; or when reasonably necessary for legal, safety, security, or rights-protection purposes. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices and requests
You can use the scam checker without creating an account, decline optional feedback and sharing, and avoid the contact form. To request access, correction, or deletion of information held by HelloAlpha, use the contact page. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required for security or legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information was exposed improperly, contact us promptly.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request deletion.
International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented appropriately on the website.
